Brand Identity for an African Health and Wellness Startup

Kuishi Smart is a health and wellness service specializing in treating non-communicable diseases (NCDs) (diabetes, obesity, hypertension) through guided individual care and workshops. NCDs are becoming a growing problem in Africa due to globalization, and there's a large market for treating these issues. Founder Patient Beya approached us to redesign their corporate website in English and French. Through working directly with Patient we realized we could do so much more together than just a new website. We've been an instrumental part of propelling Kuishi Smart’s brand to a new level in order to do the work they've set out to do.

Approaching a New Market

Since we designed their site and rebranded their business back in 2018, Kuishi Smart had decided to set their sights on a new audience of registered dietitians, physicians and small clinics. Updates to the marketing strategy and website design were sorely needed, as few updates had been made since then.

A new workshop, coined "NCD Training Program," for the new prospects was also being developed, to educate them on best practices on treating NCDs, and to invest in their toolkit.

The Solution

The site was redesigned to attract this new, more professional, working class, using a fresh new look for the website. This also would help to attract more prospects in our original audience, those who suffer from NCDs. An FAQ page was added, and FAQs were conditionally added to each service page to mitigate any prospects' concerns.

We then clearly listed product offerings like telehealth services, community outreach, mental health and health promotion programs, and synced them to Stripe for easy booking and online purchases. Bookings were being made already through their EHR, which was then embedded into each services page.

The NCD Training Program landing page was developed with the goal of hooking first time visitors and educating them immediately on the contents of the program.

All this was hooked up to mailchimp to capture leads for both audiences, and volunteers and partner applications.
